Welcome to The Chronicles of AkitaJitsu. I’m Jen, aka AkitaJitsu. I’m a single Mom of a very special 3 yr old, and a dippy Akita. My son has Apraxia of Speech, Hypotonia, Sensory Processing Disorder, and is currently being evaluated for ADHD. The dog is just plain nuts (with a name like Keyser Soze, he’d almost have to be).

I originally started this blog as a way to chronicle my journey to become a work-at-home Mom. I started years ago building my own sites, but without direction I made very little money. In August of 2008, I found The Niche Blogger. Through that course I learned a lot about Internet Marketing, and really started my journey to being a work-at-home Mom. However, even with all the great info and the wonderful help I’ve gotten from other members in the forums, I still am not where I want to be.

Late last year I discovered the 30 Day Challenge. I signed up, but the challenge was already over for that year and I really couldn’t get into watching all those videos. This year, I heard they were changing the format and decided to give it a go, along with some friends from The Niche Blogger.

We are all very excited about The Challenge. This blog is now going to be a chronicle of my Challenge experiences…and hopefully by the end I’ll be able to really say I’m a work-at-home Mom.

(Well, I AM a work-at-home Mom for the simply fact that I don’t have any other job but raising my son and my Internet marketing efforts. But, those efforts are not providing what I could consider a full-time income yet – so until they do, I’m not calling my self a true work-at-home Mom.)
