I received my first purple star for my lens, Living with Childhood Apraxia of Speech. I’m so very honored and excited to have received this! And for a lens I’m not entirely satisfied with….it’s got to be the cute video of my son trying to say “meow.”
As I get more actively involved with Squidoo, I’m finding myself torn between concentrated on building an income on Squidoo and building an income with my niche sites. I recently started following the step by step instructions in The Adsense Recipe. This seems to be a very thorough plan for building passive income from medium to large size niche sites. Cary gives you a 12 month plan to build your site into a money-maker. Each week you have specific tasks to complete. Most places will list tasks in a general manner, but this plan tells you exactly how many of whatever – for instance, post 2 content pages and make 40 forum comments (for backlinks). I need that sort of structure, so I think this will be a good fit to keep me focused on the one site.
As for Squidoo, I’m not going to build any lenses other than those for the RocketMoms session. I am thinking I’d like to make more connections, build my fans and promote my lenses more, but perhaps I’ll wait to do that until after this session of assignments is done. Last year I tried to focus on too many projects, and never completed my goals with any of them. I want this year to be different!
